Hire Resolves Client is urgently looking for a VP Legal and Compliance to be based at their corporate offices in Gauteng!
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Drive and implement legal and compliance strategies aligned with the organisations corporate vision ensuring ethical governance and principled conduct across the SA Region.
- Legal Advisory and Risk Management: Oversee the delivery of holistic legal services across operational commercial regulatory and human capital matters mitigating risk and ensuring business alignment.
- Compliance Framework and Governance: Develop implement and scale regional compliance policies procedures and capabilities that align with group-wide standards and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Team and Capability Development: Lead manage and develop a high-performing Legal and Compliance team fostering a culture of integrity accountability and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring transparent communication alignment and effective representation of the organisation.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Level 7: Bachelors of Laws (LLB)
- 15 years experience in a similar position of which 5 years should be a Senior Level
- Advantageous qualification in Mining and Prospecting Health and Safety / Environmental Law
- Relevant experience in a mining environment
