About the job

We are currently working with a leading renewable energy company that is rapidly expanding its operations across Ireland and internationally. They are now looking to hire a People & Payroll Specialist to join their team in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation focused on delivering sustainable utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.

Responsibilities of this People & Payroll Specialist Job:

  • Manage monthly payroll processes ensuring accuracy and compliance with Irish employment law and internal policies.
  • Maintain employee records and payroll data including changes to salary benefits and employment status.
  • Administer pensions bonuses social welfare and statutory payments such as maternity or sick pay.
  • Act as the first point of contact for payroll and HR queries from team members.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding offboarding promotions and contract changes.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities such as scheduling interviews and drafting offers.
  • Track and report on people metrics such as turnover headcount absence and payroll costs.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of people systems including integration with finance and payroll tech solutions.
  • Ensure GDPR and employment equity compliance across all employee data and processes.
  • Support the Head of People & Culture with broader HR strategy and team experience initiatives.

Requirements of this People & Payroll Specialist Job:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a payroll HR operations or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish payroll processes tax laws and employment legislation.
  • High level of proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and growing organisation.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a solution-focused approach.
  • Degree in Accounting Business HR or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in the renewable energy or construction sectors is an advantage.
