Job Summary

The Product & Trade Marketing Officer will support the development and execution of marketing strategies to drive brand growth strengthen product visibility in the trade and enhance competitive positioning. The role requires a strong understanding of the market landscape solid analytical ability and hands on experience in trade promotions and product marketing-preferably within FMCG categories such as tobacco beverages snacks or other fast-moving consumer products.

Responsibilities:
  • Continuously monitor the competitive landscape including pricing promotions market share product availability and emerging trends.
  • Conduct field visits to assess market dynamics consumer behavior and trade activity.
  • Produce regular reports with actionable insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Assist in planning and executing trade marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility and sales performance.
  • Develop promotional concepts and activation ideas for both trade partners and end-users.
  • Work with creative agencies and suppliers to deliver high-quality promotional materials.
  • Track market stock levels product distribution and availability across key channels.
  • Coordinate with sales teams to ensure optimal product presence in all priority outlets.
  • Analyze pricing trends and competitor price movements.
  • Propose pricing adjustments or promotional price strategies that strengthen competitiveness and profitability.
  • Support initiatives aimed at increasing product awareness and consumer loyalty.
  • Ensure consistent brand identity and communication across all touchpoints.
  • Identify new market segments and opportunities for brand expansion.
  • Recommend innovative promotional tactics and experiences (within legal and regulatory guidelines especially for tobacco products).
  • Track outcomes of pilot initiatives and refine based on data.

  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Comfortable working in fast paced and dynamic environments.
  • High level of integrity especially when handling sensitive market and pricing data.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Administration Commerce or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in product marketing trade marketing category management or a similar role-preferably in the FMCG sector.
