Our client is looking for a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist / Registration Clerk to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venepuncture capillary puncture and other approved specimen collection techniques.
- Correctly identify patients and verify test requests before sample collection.
- Collect label and handle blood and other specimens according to laboratory protocols.
- Register patient samples into the Laboratory information system and real time claim submission on H263 following the standard SOP.
- Ensure specimens are properly stored and transported to maintain sample integrity.
- Explain procedures clearly and reassure patients before during and after sample collection.
- Always maintain patient confidentiality and dignity at all times.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to adverse reactions such as fainting or bleeding
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of work areas and instruments.
- Accurately complete laboratory request forms and documentation.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) infection control and biosafety guidelines.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations including proper disposal of sharps and biohazard materials.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in venepuncture and capillary sampling techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use laboratory information systems (LIS).
Key Qualifications:
- Diploma in Nursing
- Valid registration or certification with a recognized professional or regulatory council.
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist or in a clinical/laboratory setting preferred.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations is an advantage.
