1. Group Financial Consolidation & Review
- Consolidate quarterly group financial results across various countries and subsidiaries.
- Review country-level financial submissions to ensure accuracy consistency and compliance with Group standards.
- Identify and investigate irregularities in key financial metrics (e.g. revenue margins provisions) with local finance teams.
- Validate intercompany transactions eliminations and minority interest calculations.
- Ensure proper currency translation adjustments in line with IFRS.
- Prepare quarterly board presentation materials and supporting commentaries.
2. Monthly Group & Country Analysis
- Assess monthly operational performance reports (OPR packs) submitted by each country.
- Flag unusual fluctuations (YoY QoQ MoM) and coordinate with country teams for explanations and corrections.
- Verify the treatment of one-off items and ensure consistent tracking and reporting.
- Review and summarize key monthly financial highlights for the Group.
- Mentor and support country finance teams in strengthening reporting discipline and month-end closing processes.
3. Month-End Close & Financial Controls
- Generate monthly management reports and perform variance analysis for assigned entities.
- Review journal entries accruals and system postings to ensure correctness.
- Conduct detailed analysis of P&L and balance sheet accounts to identify errors or misclassifications.
4. Audit & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries promptly.
- Address audit findings and review proposed adjustments and final statutory financial statements (AFS).
- Ensure timely resolution of audit issues to maintain compliance.
5. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead the annual budget preparation process for assigned portfolios incorporating inputs from all departments.
- Validate consolidated budgets for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and review projected balance sheets and cash flow plans.
6. Team Leadership & Support
- Manage and provide guidance to the Assistant Finance Manager and Senior Executive.
- Offer feedback and performance evaluations to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
