Job Description

Job Title: Fabrication Construction Manager – Mechanical
Department: Fabrication Execution
Reports To: Project Fabrication Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Construction Manager (Mechanical) to lead the execution of offshore fabrication projects ensuring safety quality and timely delivery within budget. You will oversee fabrication and erection of subsea structures offshore topsides piping and other oil & gas facilities working closely with multidisciplinary teams subcontractors and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Execution:

    • Lead and manage all construction engineering activities in line with the project execution plan.

    • Ensure adherence to HSE and QA/QC standards as per client requirements.

    • Maintain project delivery within budgeted manhours cost and schedule.

  • Fabrication & Erection Oversight:

    • Execute detailed fabrication and erection works for subsea and topside structures.

    • Oversee activities involving subsea strutters (sleepers subsea bridges pipeline spools) piles boat landings riser guards risers J-tubes and brownfield modifications.

    • Coordinate with engineering planning QA/QC and painting teams.

  • Team Leadership & Coordination:

    • Supervise and monitor the performance of direct and indirect manpower.

    • Allocate work based on schedules and priorities.

    • Ensure adequate manpower equipment and materials are available.

    • Liaise with internal departments and subcontractors for smooth execution.

  • Planning & Progress Monitoring:

    • Develop construction plans including schedules resource allocation risk assessment and communication strategies.

    • Participate in site progress meetings; identify and resolve technical and constructability issues.

    • Track and report progress to management ensuring alignment with project specifications and drawings.

  • Safety & Quality Compliance:

    • Implement and enforce safety and quality procedures on-site.

    • Ensure work is carried out to the highest standards in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Minimum 8 years of offshore fabrication experience in the oil & gas sector.

  • Proven expertise in fabrication and erection of offshore and subsea structures topsides piping and brownfield projects.

  • Strong knowledge of HSE and Quality procedures.

  • Proficiency in MS Word Excel and email communication.

  • Excellent leadership interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written).

  • Ability to lead coach and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
