Job Summary
The SEEM Colaborative Hurd Elementary Program at the Yeuell School in Wakefield is looking for teacher assistants for our four week EYP program.
Qualifications: High school diploma Associate or Bachelors degree. Ability to work withelementary students with social emotional and behavioral challenges.
Reports to: Classroom teacher
Scope of duties include:
- Responsible to and functions under the direction of the classroom teacher
- Works with individual students offering 1:1 support as needed
- Assists the teacher and classroom team in the delivery of academic and socialactivities
- Ensures the safety of the children in all environments
- Supervises students throughout the school day including at arrival and dismissal lunch snack time and recess
- Actively participates and engages with students in recreational/social activities such as recess swim playgrounds/ parks etc.
- Must be able to lift pull or push approximately 40 lbs and have the ability to move quickly from standing to floor and floor to standing
Employment is contingent upon passing a SAFIS fingerprint and CORI screening
