The Faculty of Science Medicine and Health (SMAH) comprises of the Schools of Medical Indigenous and Health Sciences; Science; Nursing; Psychology; and the Graduate School of Medicine. The School of Medical Indigenous and Health Sciences (MIHS) includes disciplines of Medical Sciences; Nutrition Science and Dietetics; Indigenous Health; Public Health; Occupational Health & Safety; and Exercise Sport and Rehabilitation Sciences. The School currently offers externally accredited programs in Dietetics Clinical Exercise Physiology Exercise Science Occupational Health and Safety and Occupational Hygiene as well as non-accredited programs in Medical and Health Sciences Pre-Medicine Nutrition Sciences and Public Health. The School also offers a Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Trauma and Recovery Practice and a Master of Indigenous Health.
About the Role
In this teaching intensive position you will be primarily responsible for preparing students for professional practice and clinical placement in line with accreditation and university requirements. You will support students throughout their placement journey and work closely with health services private practice and community partners to deliver high quality placement experiences.
You will also contribute to teaching and subject coordination across undergraduate and postgraduate dietetics programs by designing delivering and assessing clinically aligned dietetics education supporting professional practice educators and taking part in outreach activities that promote dietetics and MIHS teaching.
About You
You are an Accredited Practising Dietitian with extensive clinical experience and enjoy bringing real-world practice into your teaching. You have experience supporting and supervising students in clinical settings a good understanding of professional accreditation and standards and a genuine commitment to high-quality teaching and assessment in higher education.
You are a collaborative and effective communicator who values strong relationships and works closely with industry and community partners to create safe supportive and high-quality learning environments for students.

Special Job Requirements:
Must hold and maintain accreditation with Dietetics Australia as an accredited practicing dietician as well as currency of practice.
