About the role

The Executive Coordinator is a key member of the Office of the Commissioner team delivering a range of high quality executive and secretariat support services and advice in a fast-paced environment.

You will:

  • provide informed strategic advice and timely expert coordination of workflows and communications
  • prepare review and quality assure complex briefings correspondence documents and advice for senior executives
  • collaborate with a range of stakeholders to coordinate advice on critical issues programs and projects
  • cascade key messages between leadership teams and stakeholders
  • drive continuous improvements optimising processes systems and administrative practices.

About you

You are a strategic and critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills. You have proven experience supporting senior executives in a complex dynamic and highly critical environment. You demonstrate:

  • effective communication skills particularly written skills with the ability to translate complex information clearly and succinctly
  • impeccable attention to detail to ensure accuracy to support informed decision making for the Commissioner
  • experience working in the public sector preparing high-level briefings and executive correspondence
  • a natural ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder engagement
  • exceptional time management and organisational skills to balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines

Essential requirements of the role

  • A current and valid Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
