A leading extraction company is in the market for a Mining Technical Manager to serve as the architect of their operational success. The role will be responsible for ensuring mine design accuracy and spearheading strategic technical planning to optimise resource recovery and safety.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure alignment between short-term plans medium-term schedules and the approved Life of Mine Plan (LOMP).
- Verify that development advances only into future Indicated Resource areas in accordance with company policy.
- Validate mine designs including stoping layouts sublevel spacing and haulage infrastructure.
- Maintain adequate reserve flexibility ahead of production requirements.
- Monitor development effectiveness in terms of metres achieved versus reserve kilograms gained.
- Review advance per blast performance and technical productivity indicators.
- Analyse reserve replacement ratios and sustainability metrics
- Recommend technical improvements to optimise ore waste material and personnel movement.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons-learnt analyses.
- Develop and maintain technical standards and governance protocols.
- Provide structured monthly and quarterly technical reports to the General Manager.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in vertical shaft operations.
- Proven capability in mine planning design and cost analysis.
- Experience with recognised mine planning software systems.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of ten years of underground mining experience.
