Job Summary

To aggressively sustain dominance in existing customers as well as opening new markets for the companys products though efficient structures that gives attractive displays of products through efficient structures that gives attractive displays of products and friendly dissemination of information on company products to customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Set sustainable routes and shops targets in view of company targets and drive the sales team for the achievement of the targets.
  • To review daily routes performances and give prompt feedback to production and Distribution departments on orders.
  • Structure distribution routes so that customers get the products at the right time while the routes are viable.
  • To have good relationships with key customers and recommend sustainable incentive schemes that motivates the customers and the sales team.
  • Push for at least 50% of market share on all company products.
  • Analyze key statistics by route daily thereby identifying key problem areas and address them quickly sales returns fuel consumption loaves per kilometer departure compliances cash collections and forward correct input promptly to user departments.
  • Ensure customer complaints are actioned without delays and giving feedback on customer expectations to management for continual improvement.
  • To ensure proper accounting and optimum use of company assets under the departments custody racks delivery trucks crates in the market among others.
  • Adopt a hands-on-approach through random visits in the market to get to understand the possible challenges and rectify.
  • To be abreast with competitors activities and liaise with Marketing on counter strategies.
  • Be constantly on the check on macroeconomic activities that is likely to have impact on the customers and ultimately the business.
  • To be aware of the internal environment prices of raw materials production methods company policies plant capacities and business strategic plans for effective market information dissemination.
  • Obtain high morale and motivation within the department by ensuring that complaints and grievances are addressed without delay and that effective follow up action takes place to avoid
  • recurrences.
  • Ensure that all employees in the department are conversant with their duties and report for duty in the correct attire.
  • Do performance appraisals and recommend sustainable training programs for the department.
  • To contribute in the budgeting input for the business through accurate sales projections.
Key Skills:
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong leadership negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field
