Position Details

• Start Date: Immediate upon completion of the recruitment process
• Location: Remote
• Students: Adult learners (general)
• Language of Instruction: Spanish
• Rate: $5.90 USD per hour
• Contract Type: Independent Service Provider with The Really Great Teacher Company
• Format: One-on-one and small group online sessions
• Schedule: Part-time hourly declare a minimum of 10 hours of availability Monday through Saturday between 06:00 AM and 11:00 PM ET; sessions are allocated within your declared availability. You can teach more than 10 hours a week should you prefer a full schedule.

Requirements

• Native Spanish speaker

• Minimum B1 level English proficiency

• One of the following qualifications:

1. A completed Bachelors Degree in Linguistics Education Spanish Modern Languages or Literatures OR
2. A degree in any field plus an International House Certificate (IH) in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language (ELE) or a recognised equivalent

• Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching Spanish (within the last 5 years)

• Experience teaching adult learners in both one-on-one and group formats

• Online teaching experience preferred

• Must provide a minimum of ten (10) hours of availability per week Monday through Saturday between 06:00 AM ET and 11:00 PM ET

• No criminal record

Technical Requirements

• PC: Intel Core i5 CPU @2.40GHz (4 CPUs) or better 8GB RAM or greater
• Internet: Stable fibre connection (20 Mbps upload/download) via LAN cable
• Backup Power: UPS with 45 hours of battery life (recommended for areas with frequent power interruptions)
• Equipment: Noise-cancelling headset HD webcam (720p) and a quiet well-lit teaching space
