Job Summary

We are on the lookout for an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to join our clients team a well-established organisation within the food production industry.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations at their processing facility.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Plan coordinate and manage daily production activities to meet output quality and efficiency targets.
Lead and supervise production teams ensuring optimal performance and adherence to operational standards.
Monitor production processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Ensure compliance with health safety and food safety regulations.
Collaborate with maintenance quality assurance and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
Prepare production reports manage shift planning and control labour and operational costs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production function.

Key skills:

Strong problem-solving ability and decision-making skills under pressure.
Ability to work rotational night shifts and weekend shifts as required.
Strong understanding of production planning quality control and operational efficiency principles.
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
High attention to quality and safety standards.
Results-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Production Management Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a production or manufacturing environment in a management role.
Ability to work rotational night shifts and weekend shifts as required.
Proven experience in a Production Management role within a manufacturing or processing environment.
