The Boeing Company is currently seeking Senior (Level 4) Business Operations Specialist to join our Chief Aerospace Office (CASO) Business Operations team in Everett Washington. CASO has dynamic multi-disciplinary teams responsible for ensuring safe secure high-quality compliant products and services across the Enterprise as well as advancing an enduring and continuously improving global aerospace safety system. Our highly collaborative integrated and engaged Business Operations team is a key enabler for the organizations success.

This unique role would initially be responsible for providing Business Operations (management system and business integration leadership) support to the Executive Director Enterprise Safety & Quality Internal Audit to enable Internal Audit effectiveness and strengthen cross Business Unit partnerships. The Internal Audit organization is responsible for ensuring Boeing operations achieve desired outcomes through independent assessments and advisory services.

The role would then transition into providing similar support to the Executive Director Global Safety & Regulatory Affairs (GS&RA). GS&RA is a global team that leads efforts to align global safety security and regulatory strategies; and champions safety initiatives with governments and industry. This role would require occasional flexible work hours to accommodate international team meetings.

Successful candidates should be able to:

Provide the right information at the right level of detail at the right time. Identify and turn actions into implemented improvements. Ensure right tools methods and processes are used to provide structure and integration. Engage senior leaders and provide strategic direction. Anticipate and ensure current activities align with priorities. Understand data sources and utilize data analytics and tools. Rapidly identify issues trend analysis and insights to radically improve business decisions. Move with speed and agility in supporting our targets among the changing environments. Provide a framework for data-driven decision-making.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Operating Rhythm: Design and manage the operating rhythm to support business needs and priorities which includes meeting cadence look-ahead reporting cycles event engagement and communication channels. Create or collaborate to develop supporting tools / reports. Supports the teams operational processes and facilitates effective collaboration and decision-making.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Provide timely data analysis and business insights to support the organizations decision-making processes. Understand requirements for reports and dashboards and collaborate with appropriate focals / teams to create; as well as create presentations that support the business needs.
  • Business Performance: Establish metrics requirements track performance to plan and provide regular updates on status trends risks and opportunities to the organizations leaders. Provide variance analysis collaborate to mitigate risk and establish recovery or collaborate to develop tools to support.
  • Integration and collaboration: Ensure integration across teams / organizations and the enterprise on management system and integration requirements and key initiatives. Facilitate data sharing collaboration and communication between different teams and departments to promote alignment and synergy. Flexible and nimble on short notice based on current business environment.
  • Content and data standards: Establish content data on-boarding and presentation standards to ensure consistency and accuracy of information across the organization.
  • Decision support: Support the organizations decision-making processes by providing the necessary data analysis strategic thinking and tools. Help leaders and team members access relevant information conduct scenario analysis and evaluate options to make informed decisions.
  • System review and updates: Periodic reviews of the management system to ensure it effectively meets the needs of the business. Proactively anticipate evolving needs / changes in the business and identify areas for improvement gather feedback from users and implement updates and enhancements as needed. Ensure management system processes are documented and updated as needed.
  • Provides coaching and guidance to less experienced personnel.

This position is expected to be 100% selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • 10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4 years of experience in project or program management business operations or related field
  • 4 years of experience collecting interpreting data and leading high level projects for Executives or Senior Leadership
  • 4 years of experience developing and communicating recommendations to executive level management
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers and partners
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule as needed for (approximately) monthly early morning or evening meetings with international participants

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • 5 years of experience utilizing Microsoft 365 applications
  • 5 years of experience creating executive level briefings
  • Experience developing and integrating strategic projects plans and initiatives to meet business goals.
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning
  • Experience with Salesforce
