Two Work Paths Available:

We are hiring Seasonal General Laborers to support two types of work. Depending on business needs and your availability you may work in one or both areas:

• Standard Asphalt Crew: Local work including sealcoating crack repair and line striping with consistent overtime opportunities.
• Athletic Surface Crew (Prevailing Wage): Travel-based projects focused on court coloring and striping with prevailing wage pay ranging from $45-$75/hour on qualifying jobs.

Lancaster Asphalt Systems Inc. is a family-owned and operated asphalt maintenance contractor that has served Central Pennsylvania since 1974. Known for its transparency honesty and responsiveness the company offers one-stop maintenance services for commercial residential and property management clients while remaining committed to supporting its employees and giving back to the local community.

What youll do as a Seasonal General Laborer:

• Work on asphalt and athletic surface projects including crack repair sealcoating coloring and line striping.
• Operate tools and small machinery safely while maintaining clean organized job sites.
• Handle materials prep work areas and assist with cleanup to keep projects on schedule.
• Follow safety guidelines company procedures and crew direction while working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Work as part of a team showing up reliable hardworking and ready for physically demanding tasks.
• Travel locally to job sites (typically within one hour) and occasionally travel for multi-day projects with accommodations and meals provided.

Our Ideal Seasonal General Laborer:

• Eager to Learn: No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided for entry-level candidates. We will train on asphalt maintenance surface coating and equipment operation.
• Dependable & Punctual: Shows up on time and follows through on commitments.
• Hardworking & Team-oriented: Brings a strong work ethic and contributes positively to the crew.
• Detail-Oriented & Adaptable: Follows instructions and adjusts to changing job conditions.
• Physically Capable: Able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as standing bending squatting and carrying for extended periods.

What we offer our Seasonal General Laborer:

• $18-$22 per hour DOE
• Approximately one-third of projects are prevailing wage ($45-$75/hour)
• $1500 sign-on bonus
• Full-time seasonal role April-November
• 40 hours per week with overtime during peak season
