Solar Sales Representative/Consultant is responsible for identifying potential residential or commercial customers educating them on solar benefits conducting site assessments and closing sales to meet company targets. Key tasks include preparing customized proposals explaining financial incentives and managing client relationships to drive adoption of renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively finding new customers through cold calling networking referrals and field visits.
Site Assessments & Feasibility: Evaluating customer roofs for shading size and energy usage to determine suitability for solar installation.
Consultative Selling & Presentation: Educating homeowners/businesses on solar technology cost savings and environmental benefits.
Proposal Development & Closing: Designing customized system proposals calculating ROI negotiating contracts and closing deals.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Maintaining detailed records of client interactions and guiding customers through the installation process.
Industry Knowledge: Staying informed on solar products tax incentives rebates and financing options.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience in sales (residential B2B or renewable energy).
Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently manage a pipeline and travel for site visits.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and MS Office.
