Job Summary
As Gardener Supervisor you will lead landscaping and grounds maintenance to ensure all outdoor areas reflect the Avani brands commitment to design wellbeing and guest experience. You will establish landscape standards supervise the gardening team and maintain safe attractive and sustainable outdoor environments from pre-opening onward.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead train and supervise gardeners; assign daily tasks and monitor performance.
- Oversee planting watering pruning fertilizing mulching mowing edging and lawn care.
- Install operate and maintain irrigation systems; monitor pumps and water usage.
- Maintain gardening tools and equipment; ensure safe operation and reporting of defects.
- Apply fertilizers treatments pesticides and herbicides with proper records.
- Support sustainability initiatives including water conservation and eco-friendly landscaping practices.
- Manage plant procurement inventory and replacement within budget.
- Ensure outdoor areas pathways ponds and entrances remain clean safe and guest-ready.
- Maintain logs schedules and equipment records; support pre-opening landscaping works.
- Enforce safety standards and PPE compliance; report hazards and incidents.
- Coordinate with Engineering Housekeeping Events and Security as required.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; horticulture or landscaping training preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of plants soil care irrigation systems and landscaping equipment.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Fluency in Lao required; English is an advantage for reporting and coordination.
