Job Summary

Our client a leading global insurance provider is seeking a Director-level Product Manager to spearhead the development and implementation of targeted digital service capabilities within a centralized platform operating across Asia and Africa. This position is vital for advancing customer-focused scalable and standardized service experiences in diverse markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Leadership: Develop and oversee the product vision and roadmap for service activities ensuring alignment with strategic goals customer insights and market analysis. Manage the complete delivery of service experiences guaranteeing measurable business outcomes.
  • Roadmap Prioritization: Establish and prioritize the capability roadmap based on business impact customer feedback and market development.
  • Customer-Centric Design: Ensure that service experiences are innovative user-friendly and aligned with customer expectations.
  • Cross-Market Collaboration: Partner with local teams to identify operational challenges regulatory specifics and share best practices to harmonize and amplify capabilities.
  • Outcome Ownership: Promote adoption and enhance straight-through processing (STP) capabilities across all markets including agent branch and call center channels. Be accountable for achieving measurable business results such as cost reductions revenue growth and improved Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Delivery Collaboration: Team up with delivery and data units to ensure timely high-quality product launches that fulfill both business and technical criteria.
  • Governance & Quality: Work with local markets to comprehend operational processes risks and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with governance standards manage change requests and maintain exceptional quality throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Continuous Improvement: Uncover opportunities for innovation and enhancement through data-driven insights and learnings from various markets.
  • Impact Tracking: Establish and monitor objectives and key results (OKRs) to evaluate the success adoption and value realization of each capability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main liaison between business stakeholders and development teams ensuring clear communication of requirements and objectives.
  • Platform Alignment: Ensure that platform adoption aligns with strategic goals aiming for 80% digitized operations by 2028

    and leverage CRM and platform functionalities to empower frontline teams.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of experience in the life insurance or financial services sector with a deep understanding of insurance products service processes and market dynamics.
  • Strong operational expertise with practical knowledge of service workflows risk management and regulatory landscapes in Asian markets.
  • Proven experience in leading digital transformation efforts and cross-market initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
  • Background in digital product ownership capability leadership or strategic operations roles preferably across multiple nations.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration abilities with a knack for influencing and aligning diverse teams.

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities focusing on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and digital service tools along with experience collaborating with delivery and data teams.

  • Agile mindset with experience in managing product lifecycles and backlog prioritization; an Agile certification is beneficial.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills capable of engaging with senior leadership and frontline personnel

  • Commitment to customer-focused design and delivering value emphasizing adoption straight-through processing and optimization of platforms.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field.
