Permanent Position: Physician - Gastroenterology in Jackson MI
The Jackson Division of Gastroenterology is looking for a Board Eligible/Certified Gastroenterologist with ERCP certification. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive GI hospital program with a full support staff. The facility is a Trauma Level II hospital offering both inpatient and outpatient services and features an endoscopy center and outpatient clinic right on the hospital campus providing seamless access to patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care including rounds and clinic duties.
- Participate in a collaborative care team including APP support both in clinic and hospital settings.
- Engage in teaching opportunities as part of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) program.
- Stay updated and apply complex knowledge in gastroenterology successfully.
- Manage an average patient load with flexible support systems in place.
- Participate in the emergency call rotation (1:6 ratio including some weekends).
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (must become Board Certified within a year) or Board Certified.
- Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology.
- 5-8 years of GI work experience preferred.
- Clean malpractice and license history.
- Current COVID and flu vaccinations.
- ERCP certification (consideration will be given for additional proctoring).
- ITIL or PMP certification preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Michigan state license or willingness to obtain.
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Compliance with all employee health and COVID vaccination requirements.
