Job Description
Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Gastroenterology in Longmont CO
Summary: Join a vibrant healthcare team at a respected hospital in Longmont Colorado as a locum Gastroenterologist. The facility specializes in acute care and offers support for urgent shifts starting in May. Youll focus on hospital coverage with no outpatient clinic responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care including endoscopy and GI evaluations.
- Respond to 24-hour on-call duties maintaining a 30-minute response time.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other disciplines to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical records system.
- Manage and diagnose GI conditions offering treatment recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
- Completion of a Gastroenterology Fellowship.
- Active Colorado medical license or IMLC.
- Current DEA registration.
- Ability to work 3 consecutive shifts from 7a-7a.
- Clean malpractice and background history.
- Local or drive-in candidates preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology - Required.
- Active Colorado License - Required or IMLC with letter of qualification.
- DEA registration - Required for credentialing.
