Job Description
Job Opportunity: Neonatologist in Grand Rapids MI
Join a team of dedicated healthcare professionals as a full-time Neonatologist Physician in the vibrant city of Grand Rapids Michigan. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) where you will collaborate with a skilled team comprising three neonatology physicians and 18 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across both Grand Rapids and Muskegon locations. The Grand Rapids facility boasts a Level III NICU with 15 beds while the Muskegon site features an 8-bed Level II Special Care Nursery. You will have the chance to teach residents medical students and fellows making a real impact in this community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care in a regional position rotating between Grand Rapids and Muskegon.
- Participate in a 7 days on/7 days off work schedule with calls only during the active period.
- Deliver high-quality neonatal care alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team.
- Engage in teaching opportunities for residents and medical students.
- Be an active member of a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within 2 years) or Board Certified in Pediatrics: Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Willingness to work out of both Grand Rapids and Muskegon.
- MI state license or willingness to obtain one.
- DEA registration or willingness to obtain.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications or willingness to obtain.
- Clean malpractice history preferred.
Licensure and Certification Requirements:
- Michigan state medical license.
- DEA registration required.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
