Job Description

Job Opportunity: Neonatologist in Grand Rapids MI

Join a team of dedicated healthcare professionals as a full-time Neonatologist Physician in the vibrant city of Grand Rapids Michigan. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) where you will collaborate with a skilled team comprising three neonatology physicians and 18 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across both Grand Rapids and Muskegon locations. The Grand Rapids facility boasts a Level III NICU with 15 beds while the Muskegon site features an 8-bed Level II Special Care Nursery. You will have the chance to teach residents medical students and fellows making a real impact in this community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care in a regional position rotating between Grand Rapids and Muskegon.
  • Participate in a 7 days on/7 days off work schedule with calls only during the active period.
  • Deliver high-quality neonatal care alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team.
  • Engage in teaching opportunities for residents and medical students.
  • Be an active member of a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within 2 years) or Board Certified in Pediatrics: Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Willingness to work out of both Grand Rapids and Muskegon.
  • MI state license or willingness to obtain one.
  • DEA registration or willingness to obtain.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications or willingness to obtain.
  • Clean malpractice history preferred.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • Michigan state medical license.
  • DEA registration required.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
