Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

A smile and warm greeting is what our Guests will receive when staying at Swisstel Chicago. Your engaging personality will make a lasting impression when our Guests arrive at the hotel. You are friendly detail-oriented and love the rush of handling multiple tasks all at once. You love helping your team in delivering incredible experiences for your guests - and it just so happens youll be doing just that in an award-winning hotel.

Always willing to lend a helping hand with a smile your passion for the property and your respect for our guests belongings will ensure that our guests Feel Welcome as soon as they arrive.

  • Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
  • Open car doors for arriving and departing guests while greeting them warmly
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of luggage to and from guest vehicles
  • Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • Timely delivery of guests luggage messages and any other items for delivery within the property
  • Personalize guests orientation of their room in a professional friendly and engaging way
  • Maintain presence in the lobby as an ambassador of the property and brand offering exceptional service to the guests
  • Follow departmental policies procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Constant lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling pushing pulling lifting
  • Frequent lifting and carrying more than 50 lbs
  • Frequent ascending or descending ladders stairs and ramps

Qualifications :

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Must be able to work any shift assigned such as holidays weekends mornings afternoons and evenings.
  • Service focused personality is essential; customer related experience an asset
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
