Your Opportunity
One Permanent FullTime Position.

We seek an innovative and motivated individual who is eager to work as part of a Team at our Arlington Valley Facility!
Reporting to the Operations Manager as the Operations & Maintenance Technician you will work as part of a threeperson crew on a 12hour rotating shift assigned as a Power Block Operator or Water Treatment Operator responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a 580MW Combined Cycle Power Plant under the supervision and direction of a Shift Lead/Control Room Operator. The Operator may be asked to provide relief duties for the Control Room Operator (if qualified) Outside Operator and/or Water Treatment Facility Operator as required. The Operator must be able to work with others and assist in Overtime for other shifts as required.
You will contribute to our team by:
Ensuring the safe operation of all plant equipment throughout various operational situations. This equipment includes but is not limited to the gas turbine steam turbine generators heat recovery steam generator air compressors water treatment equipment demineralizers motors pumps fire suppression systems and all other balance of plant auxiliary equipment.
Reading meters gauges or automatic devices to record data such as temperature of equipment vibration of equipment hours of operation pressure & fluid levels and water chemistry to verify operating conditions.
Being able to Start Stop and manipulate equipment as directed.
Performing Chemical offloads in accordance with written procedures.
Communicating issues or nonroutine items to the Control Room Operator and applying excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to help resolve issues.
Performing plant equipment Lock out Tag out program as directed.
Maintaining operational consistency across other crews and departments.
Ensuring compliance with all local State and Federal regulations as well as Corporate and Sitespecific procedures to protect employees contractors community and the environment.
Working under limited supervision.
Performing Preventative Maintenance as directed and logging performance into Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo).
Maintaining strong relationships with all crews and departments.
Operating heavy equipment such as a manlift and forklift as required.
Performing general housekeeping and continuous improvement of the appearance of the facility as directed.
Providing onthejob skills training to others in complex technical areas as required.
What you will bring to the role:
Education:
Completed High School Diploma required.
Technical training related to the role is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
Experience as an Operator in a power plant is preferred.
Experience as a Control Room Operator for Combined Cycle Plants is desirable.
Experience in water chemistry control analysis of water conditions water treatment facility operations and chemical handling requirements is preferred.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of combustion/steam turbine operations closed system steam generation industrial safety hazardous waste management and inspection/recording of plant parameters is highly desirable.
Experience with piping and instrument schematics and process control is desirable.
Extensive working knowledge of the power plant industry is desirable.
Technical Skills:
Solid ability to solve equipment systems and safety issues.
Gas Power Plant Operation and Maintenance experience.
Able to problem solve and troubleshoot operating issues at Gas Power Plant.
Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and help foster a positive team environment.
Working Conditions:
Heavy industrial facility designated as a safetysensitive location.
Physical mobility including lifting and climbing and ability to use PPE required.
Rotating Shift Work required.
Working Outside.

This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
