We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor /Scheduler to oversee the maintenance operations within our facility. This role is essential in ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and safely contributing to the overall productivity of our operations.
Duties:
- Creating and updating schedules for all maintenance activities including preventive maintenance corrective maintenance and special projects.
Prioritizing tasks:
- Determining the order in which maintenance tasks should be completed often based on urgency equipment criticality and resource availability.
Work order management:
- Creating managing and tracking work orders through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Resource allocation:
- Ensuring that the necessary tools materials and personnel are available to complete maintenance tasks.
Coordinating with stakeholders:
- Communicating with maintenance technicians supervisors operations personnel and vendors to ensure smooth workflow and efficient execution of maintenance activities.
Coordination and Optimization:
- Working to reduce equipment downtime by optimizing schedules coordinating resources and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Resource utilization:
- Ensuring that resources are used effectively and efficiently minimizing waste and maximizing productivity.
Minimizing downtime:
Working to reduce equipment downtime by optimizing schedules coordinating resources and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Ensuring that maintenance activities comply with safety regulations company policies and industry standards.
Reporting and analysis:
- Monitoring the progress of maintenance activities generating reports on performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Emergency maintenance:
- Coordinating emergency maintenance activities when unexpected equipment failures occur.
Documentation:
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities including work orders parts usage and equipment history.
Other Responsibilities:
Training:
- Training maintenance personnel on the use of the CMMS and other maintenance-related systems.
Cost management:
- Helping to manage maintenance costs by optimizing resource allocation minimizing downtime and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Continuous improvement:
- Participating in efforts to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance department.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a maintenance environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including high voltage applications.
- Proficiency in using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Familiarity with project management principles to oversee maintenance projects effectively.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to addressing technical challenges.
