Overview:
The Data Modeler plays a critical role in analyzing designing and implementing data models and databases that align with the organizations data management and business intelligence goals. The Data Modeler is responsible for creating conceptual logical and physical data models ensuring data integrity and optimizing database structures for efficient data retrieval and storage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into conceptual logical and physical data models
- Design and implement database solutions to support various business applications and reporting requirements
- Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity through normalization and indexing
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract transform and load data into the database
- Collaborate with database administrators and developers to ensure the implementation of best practices for data modeling and database design
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends patterns and relationships for strategic decisionmaking
- Participate in data architecture discussions and provide recommendations for data management best practices
- Work with business analysts and data engineers to define data standards and governance processes
- Document data models database schemas and ETL processes
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data modeling and database technologies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field
- Proven experience as a Data Modeler or Database Developer
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database querying
- Experience with data modeling tools such as ER/Studio ERwin or PowerDesigner
5 years of experience with Erwin
Hands on Data Modeling and Data Mapping experience
Domain experience with Risk / Controls for large enterprise
Excellent verbal communication skills needs to explain data concepts clearly to the business.
Understanding of Risk Data Authority Data Use Cases. Performing analysis on data
