Job Summary

The Business Executive is responsible for providing strategic leadership direction and vision to the organisation by establishing clear corporate objectives and driving the achievement of key business goals. The role ensures effective day-to-day leadership across the business enabling sound decision-making through line management while promoting operational excellence business growth and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive business growth by identifying prospecting and securing new business opportunities while developing tailored service agreements and facilitating contract execution.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with organisational goals through market analysis opportunity identification and informed decision-making.
  • Oversee financial performance through budgeting forecasting financial planning and reporting to ensure sustainable profitability and sound financial management.
  • Support employee retention initiatives by facilitating salary review discussions and ensuring competitive remuneration structures.
  • Identify business risks and implement mitigation strategies through market intelligence financial analysis and regulatory awareness.
  • Lead and oversee daily business operations to ensure efficient service delivery and achievement of performance objectives.
  • Manage organisational resources including finances personnel and operational assets to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive customer satisfaction initiatives through customer engagement feedback analysis and implementation of service improvement measures.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers suppliers business partners and key stakeholders.
  • Enhance the organisations market presence and reputation through marketing initiatives and customer relationship management strategies.
  • Lead business expansion initiatives by identifying new markets introducing services and exploring growth opportunities.
Decision-Making Authority

The role has authority to make decisions relating to:

  • Pricing structures for new business opportunities
  • Staff movements and role rotations
  • Asset disposal approvals
  • Staff welfare initiatives
  • Employee loan applications
  • Business memberships and subscriptions
  • Business policy and SOP reviews or amendments
Supervision Supervision Received
  • Weekly operational meetings with the Executive Director
  • Monthly Board performance reviews
  • Quarterly internal audit reviews
  • Periodic customer feedback reviews
Supervision Given
  • Monitor key deliverables and strategic objectives of direct reports
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews and provide leadership support to department managers
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Studies Business Management or related field
  • MBA advantageous but not essential

Professional Certifications

  • Project Management certification preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a senior leadership or management role

  • Strong understanding of market trends business strategy and industry dynamics
  • Sound financial and commercial acumen including budgeting and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of digital marketing e-commerce and business technology trends
