At HOLY Tax is a growth enabler not a back-office blocker. Were looking for a pragmatic business-minded Tax Manager to own our tax topics end-to-end and help us scale across markets with speed and confidence.

The mission as Tax Manager is to translate complex tax requirements into clear actionable guidance for the business ensuring compliance optimizing outcomes and building scalable processes while enabling bold high-speed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Own day-to-day tax managementacross the group (e.g. VAT corporate income tax trade tax) partnering closely with Accounting and Legal.
• Lead VAT / indirect tax topics including registrations periodic returns reconciliations and improvements to processes and data quality.
• Coordinate filings and deadlineswith internal stakeholders and external advisors ensuring accurate and on-time submissions.
• Support month-end and year-end close(e.g. tax provisions) with clean audit-ready documentation.
• Be a proactive business partnerfor cross-functional teams by assessing tax implications of new initiatives contracts promotions and market entries.
• Drive scalable tax processes and controls including documentation standards templates and tooling to make tax self-serve where appropriate.
• Monitor regulatory changesand translate them into practical guidance training and process updates for the organization.

You are a hands-on structured problem-solver who sees tax as a key element to build the business not to slow it down. You thrive in a fast-paced environment bring strong ownership and communicate clearly with both finance experts and non-finance stakeholders. You can balance compliance rigor with pragmatic decision-making and you enjoy improving processes as the company scales.

What you bring:

• Excellent communication skills in both German and English are a must.
• Degree in tax finance law or comparable qualification (Steuerberater:in is a strong plus).
• 4 years of relevant tax experience (in-house and/or tax advisory) ideally in a fast-growing B2C/D2C company in Germany.
• Strong practical knowledge of the German tax landscape. Familiarity with VAT / indirect tax topics in a European context is a plus.
• Experience working with external advisors and auditors; ability to manage timelines and deliver high-quality outputs.
• Confidence working with accounting data and systems solid Excel / Google Sheets skills.
• Business-oriented pragmatic mindset with a clear get-it-done attitude.

2. Hiring Manager Interview:Youll meet Felix our CFO to go deeper on your background ambitions and how youd drive our growth.
3. Peer interview: You will get to know Zain our Accounting Lead.
4. Case study & on-site interview: As soon as you have successfully completed the first interviews you will receive a case a second meeting at our office the team will discuss your case study with you and answer questions about our workspace the HOLY Temple.
5. Reference calls: At this stage wed like to connect with 12 former colleagues or managers who have worked closely with you. These conversations help us better understand your working style and strengths from those who know you professionally.
6. Founder Interview:As a strong cultural fit is important to us you will have a final meeting with Fredi one of our HOLY Founders. This gives both you and us the opportunity for a final check.
7. Job offer and decision:If everything goes well you will receive an offer and we are ready to embark on this journey together with you!
