We are seeking to appoint an Educational Services Assistant in a part-time fixed-term role for two terms (Term 3 & Term 4 2026) working Monday and Friday.
This is a rewarding people-focused role for someone who loves schools and wants to help young people succeed. Working within our Educational Services team you will provide in-class and learning support for students with diverse learning needs including disability under the direction of teachers and Educational Services specialist staff. You will contribute to inclusive practice student wellbeing and the achievement of learning outcomes across classrooms and other learning environments.
A little bit about the role:
Every day looks a little different and thats part of what makes this role so meaningful. Youll work alongside teachers to put practical adjustments in place support students one-to-one and in small groups and help create calm welcoming learning spaces where students can build confidence independence and a sense of belonging. Youll also contribute by observing and recording learning and engagement information to help guide next steps. As well as that you will;
- Support students with classroom routines and learning activities (in-class and in other learning environments)
- Assist with delivery of teacher-directed learning interventions for individuals and small groups to enable access to the curriculum
- Implement and monitor health care plans behaviour support plans and reasonable adjustments as required
- Observe and record learning/engagement data and assist the teacher to prepare resources and inclusive learning environments (including use of assistive technology); provide personal care support where required
To be successful you will:
- Bring relevant experience supporting students with diverse learning needs and/or be working towards (or hold) a Certificate III/IV in Educational Support (or equivalent)
- Have a strengths-based approach and experience supporting differentiation and/or behaviour support plans building positive professional relationships with students
- Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with teachers Educational Services staff students and families using discretion and sound judgement
- Be ready to support student wellbeing including implementing care plans and (where required) providing personal care support in line with training and school procedures
