Job Title: Building Maintenance & Security Manager
Overview
Our client in the logistics industry is looking for a highly capable and proactive Building Maintenance & Security Manager to oversee all building maintenance operations and security functions across a large operational estate. The role is responsible for ensuring infrastructure is well maintained projects are delivered efficiently and robust security systems and procedures are implemented to safeguard people assets and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Building Maintenance & Project Oversight

Oversee all building infrastructure and maintenance activities across the estate.

Ensure maintenance and infrastructure projects are managed in line with established standards procedures timelines and budgets.
-
Coordinate and supervise staff subcontractors suppliers and utility providers to ensure efficient and high-quality project delivery.
-
Develop and manage maintenance schedules to ensure targets are met and operational disruptions are minimised.
-
Monitor quality standards and ensure all work meets required specifications.
-
Control costs and ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.
-
Liaise with senior management on project progress risks and escalations where necessary.
Security Management
-
Develop implement and maintain comprehensive security policies procedures and systems.
-
Conduct regular reviews and updates of all security protocols to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
-
Oversee and enhance physical security systems including access control surveillance and alarm systems.
-
Lead the implementation of loss prevention and risk reduction strategies.
-
Provide expert advice to management on security-related matters and risk mitigation.
Emergency & Crisis Management
-
Develop and implement emergency response and crisis management plans.
-
Ensure readiness for incidents through proper planning communication and resource allocation.
-
Coordinate responses to emergencies including security breaches safety incidents and other crises.
Investigations & Compliance
-
Conduct internal and external investigations into incidents such as theft property loss or criminal activity.
-
Prepare reports recommend corrective actions and ensure follow-up on all investigations.
-
Ensure all security practices comply with relevant laws regulations and internal policies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Training
-
Liaise and maintain strong working relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services.
-
Deliver security induction training and ongoing awareness programs for staff.
-
Promote a culture of safety security and accountability across the organisation.

Qualifications & Experience

Relevant qualification in Facilities Management Engineering Security Management or a related field

Proven experience in building maintenance and security management within a large operational environment

Experience managing contractors budgets and compliance requirements
-
Knowledge of relevant regulations and security standards
