Job Summary

Job Opportunity: Marketing and Administration Officer

Our client in the logistics and automotive industry is looking for a highly organized and proactive Marketing and Administration Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting both marketing operations and administrative functions to ensure smooth day-to-day business efficiency effective communication across departments and consistent execution of marketing initiatives.

The Role

The Marketing and Administration Officer will provide comprehensive administrative support while coordinating marketing operations to ensure organizational efficiency. The role is responsible for managing internal reporting supporting marketing campaigns and handling key procurement and logistics functions across the business.

Key Responsibilities Marketing Coordination & Operations
  • Coordinate the weekly marketing checklist ensuring newsletters calendars and digital marketing assets are consistently updated

  • Manage and schedule advertisements across social media platforms newspapers and other external marketing channels

  • Communicate upcoming promotions specials and discounts to branch managers and purchasing teams at least two weeks in advance

  • Plan and execute marketing events such as expos exhibitions and collaborative promotional campaigns

  • Develop innovative marketing content ideas based on product and stock knowledge to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement

Administrative Support & Reporting
  • Maintain and update operational trackers including staff performance records and monthly fire equipment servicing logs across all branches

  • Draft official correspondence such as sponsorship letters and maintain an organized corporate filing system

  • Manage office procurement including stationery groceries and general supplies

  • Request and evaluate quotations and coordinate corporate travel arrangements

  • Support tendering processes and assist with preparation and submission of bids

Staff Development & Coordination
  • Coordinate internal training sessions and support onboarding of new employees on systems procedures and workplace standards

  • Facilitate communication between departments including warehousing purchasing and management to ensure alignment on marketing activities

Requirements
  • Grade 12 Certificate (required)

  • Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences Business Marketing Public Relations or a related field

  • Registration with a professional marketing institute (mandatory)

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role

Key Competencies
  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to align multiple departments toward shared marketing and operational goals

  • High attention to detail particularly in managing advertising schedules and reporting

  • Strong multitasking ability and capability to manage a wide range of administrative and marketing responsibilities

  • Excellent communication planning and organizational skills

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
