Job Title: Key Account Manager

Overview
Our client in the logistics industry is looking for a results-driven and commercially astute Key Account Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key client relationships driving revenue growth and identifying new business opportunities within a portfolio of enterprise customers.

Role Purpose

The Key Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned clients ensuring effective client acquisition revenue generation and long-term retention. This role places strong emphasis on new business development while maintaining and growing existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities 1. Sales Strategy and Planning
  • Contribute to the development and execution of sales strategies for key accounts

  • Monitor market trends competitor activities and customer requirements

  • Develop and implement sales action plans and schedules

  • Track and report on all sales activities within assigned portfolios

  • Prepare regular reports on market analysis competitor insights and industry developments

  • Maintain strong awareness of industry dynamics to support competitive positioning

2. Business Development and Revenue Growth
  • Drive expansion within existing accounts through cross-selling and up-selling solutions

  • Identify and assess new business opportunities aligned to client needs

  • Prospect and develop new client relationships to achieve agreed revenue targets

  • Represent the organization through meetings presentations and communications

  • Lead the negotiation and closure of new business deals

  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of client information within CRM systems

  • Maintain ongoing client engagement to identify emerging opportunities

  • Coordinate and submit tenders and bids in line with defined processes

3. Market Review and Insights
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide insights on market positioning

  • Recommend improvements and strategic adjustments to sales approaches

  • Identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions and proposals

4. Product Development Support
  • Conduct research on market trends customer behavior and competitive landscape

  • Provide insights into new product development and technological advancements

  • Assess the impact of industry trends on business positioning

5. Customer Service and Relationship Management
  • Act as the main point of contact for client queries and escalate technical issues where necessary

  • Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships

  • Resolve customer complaints efficiently and professionally

  • Monitor customer preferences to guide sales strategy

  • Maintain accurate customer databases and prospect lists

  • Deliver presentations on products and services to clients

  • Respond promptly to inquiries via phone email or in person

  • Identify and escalate pricing or service issues to prevent customer churn

  • Promote a positive brand image through all client interactions

Key Accountabilities

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology Telecommunications Engineering Computer Science Marketing or Business Administration

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in telecoms ICT or IT solutions sales

  • Proven experience in enterprise or corporate sales and key account management

  • Strong understanding of enterprise ICT solutions connectivity and infrastructure

  • Experience working with enterprise-level clients

Advantageous:

  • Technical certifications in Networking Telecoms or IT solutions

  • Sales or Account Management certifications
