Job Description: Senior HR Officer Overview Our client in the logistics industry is looking for a highly experienced and strategic Senior HR Officer to lead and manage human capital functions. This role is responsible for enhancing organisational performance through effective talent management employee engagement compliance and data-driven HR practices. The successful candidate will balance strategic initiatives with operational excellence ensuring a productive and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities 1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding - Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Conduct thorough reference and background checks.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
2. Performance & Talent Development - Design and implement performance management systems.
- Identify skills gaps and coordinate training and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) initiatives.
- Support departmental productivity through talent development strategies.
3. Employee Relations & Culture - Promote organisational values and a positive workplace culture.
- Manage employee relations issues and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Implement engagement initiatives to maintain high employee morale.
4. Compliance & Risk Management - Ensure full compliance with labour laws and internal policies.
- Manage employment contracts statutory documentation and HR audits.
- Provide guidance to management on HR policies and procedures.
5. Data Management & Payroll Support - Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Oversee time and attendance systems.
- Process payroll inputs including leave benefits and working hours.
- Prepare and submit HR reports and analytics.
6. Disciplinary & Grievance Handling - Manage disciplinary processes in line with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date disciplinary records.
- Handle employee separations and related documentation.
Qualifications & Experience - Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 7 years experience in HR with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HR systems payroll processes and performance management frameworks.
