Summit Orthopedic Specialists is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant to join our growing practice specializing in knees hips and shoulders.
**Position Overview:**
The Physician Assistant will play a key role in delivering high-quality orthopedic care in both clinic and surgical settings. This position offers a balance of independent patient care and close collaboration with orthopedic surgeons.
- Average of 2530 patient visits per day in clinic
- Primarily clinic-based during the first year with the opportunity to expand into surgical assistance
- Collaborative team-based care model with strong clinical support
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct comprehensive orthopedic patient evaluations and follow-up visits
- Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
- Perform procedures including injections wound care and bracing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and recovery expectations
- Assist in surgery and provide perioperative support (as role progresses)
- Perform hospital rounds and patient assessments
- Respond to after-hours patient inquiries and clinical questions
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Participate in monthly provider and leadership meetings to support care coordination and practice improvement efforts
**Compensation & Benefits:**
- Competitive salary (generally ranging from approximately $130000$165000 based on experience and progression)
- Production bonus opportunities tied to team-based performance

**Qualifications:**
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Eligible for or currently holding California PA licensure
- Strong interest in orthopedics
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
