This is a remote position.
The Data Entry Clerk plays a key administrative role in supporting daily business operations by accurately entering maintaining and updating property-related records financial information tenant data and maintenance documentation in the companys systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized and capable of handling confidential information while ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Enter update and maintain property management data tenant records lease agreements and financial information in company databases and management software.
Process and verify invoices payments vendor records and service requests to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Review documents and digital records for errors or missing information before data entry.
Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for property and association records.
Assist with updating HOA records maintenance logs and work order documentation.
Generate reports spreadsheets and summaries for management review.
Support the accounting and property management teams by updating payment records and transaction details.
Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
Respond to internal requests for information and assist administrative staff with document preparation.
Perform routine data audits to maintain accurate records across all property portfolios.
Qualifications
Work Environment
Office-based administrative role supporting property management operations.
May involve handling digital records spreadsheets and documentation related to residential commercial and association-managed properties.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in business administration or a related field is a plus.
Proven experience in data entry administrative support or office operations.
Strong typing and data entry skills with high accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook) and database systems.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience: Usually 1 years in sales hospitality or retail. (Direct property management experience is a plus but often not required). Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; ability to build rapport quickly. Technical: Proficiency in property management software. Common systems used by firms like Metro include Yardi AppFolio or Buildium. Availability: Must be willing to work weekends as that is when most prospective tenants are available to tour. Legal Knowledge: Basic understanding of Fair Housing Laws (training is usually provided).
