About the Role
As a Religious Education Teacher you will deliver high-quality lessons that encourage students to explore key religious and ethical concepts while developing analytical discussion and evaluation skills.

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching RE across Key Stages 35 including GCSE and A-Level

• Planning and delivering engaging well-structured and differentiated lessons

• Monitoring and assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback

• Supporting curriculum development and resource creation within the RE department

• Promoting discussion reflection and critical thinking in the classroom

• Encouraging students to develop ethical awareness and cultural understanding

• Contributing to extra-curricular activities enrichment and RE-related events

• Maintaining a positive inclusive and well-managed classroom environment

Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a degree in Religious Studies Theology Philosophy or a related subject

• Possess QTS or PGCE

• Have experience teaching RE at secondary school level ideally including GCSE and A-Level

• Demonstrate strong classroom management communication and organisational skills

• Be committed to fostering student curiosity engagement and achievement
