About the Role
As a Religious Education Teacher you will deliver high-quality lessons that encourage students to explore key religious and ethical concepts while developing analytical discussion and evaluation skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching RE across Key Stages 35 including GCSE and A-Level
Planning and delivering engaging well-structured and differentiated lessons
Monitoring and assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
Supporting curriculum development and resource creation within the RE department
Promoting discussion reflection and critical thinking in the classroom
Encouraging students to develop ethical awareness and cultural understanding
Contributing to extra-curricular activities enrichment and RE-related events
Maintaining a positive inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a degree in Religious Studies Theology Philosophy or a related subject
Possess QTS or PGCE
Have experience teaching RE at secondary school level ideally including GCSE and A-Level
Demonstrate strong classroom management communication and organisational skills
Be committed to fostering student curiosity engagement and achievement
