About the Role

Key responsibilities include:
Teaching Sociology at Key Stage 5 (A-Level)
Planning and delivering engaging lessons that promote analytical thinking and discussion
Supporting students in developing research essay writing and evaluation skills
Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
Preparing students effectively for A-Level examinations
Contributing to curriculum planning and resource development within the department
Supporting enrichment activities such as debate clubs or academic societies
Maintaining a positive inclusive and respectful classroom environment
Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
Hold a degree in Sociology or a closely related subject
Possess QTS or PGCE
Have experience teaching Sociology in a secondary school setting (preferably A-Level)
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Social Sciences
Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be committed to supporting student progress and achievement
