Description
This contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency environment ensuring that our patients receive the attention and treatment they need promptly and efficiently.
In this role you will be an integral part of our medical practice contributing to the health and well-being of the Nantucket community. Your expertise will help us manage a variety of emergency cases collaborate with our healthcare team and implement effective treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to patients in an emergency setting
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Perform necessary procedures and interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Educate patients and their families on health management and prevention
- Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in emergency medicine
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems
- Must possess BLS and ACLS certifications
Schedule: 9a-6p or 4p-1a
Annual Volume: 11k patients
Support Staff: MD
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
