Optometry Contract Assignment with Shifts Available Nationwide
This full-time on-site position offers a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on patient care within a supportive medical practice environment.
As a Locum MD in Ophthalmology you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive eye care diagnosing and treating various ocular conditions and performing surgical procedures when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat a variety of ocular diseases and conditions
- Perform surgical procedures including cataract surgery and laser treatments
- Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care
- Educate patients on eye health and preventive care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
- Valid medical license to practice in California
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
Will travel to patients in a van provided by the facility support staff included
Patient Population: Veterans and active duty military
Shifts available in all 50 states
Must be board-certified
