Job Summary:
- The Outbound BDR is responsible for generating new leads and qualifying prospects through proactive outbound strategies. You will engage with potential customers via cold calling email outreach social media AI tools and other digital channels to create a robust pipeline for our Account Executives. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking excellent communication skills and a persistent self-motivated approach. The outbound BDR will manage the prospect through lead generation pipeline management organisation effective communication and strong discovery and listening skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Lead Generation:
- Identify and research target companies and key decision-makers using tools such as LinkedIn CRM databases and industry reports.
- Develop targeted outbound campaigns (cold calls emails social media outreach) to generate interest in our SaaS solutions.
- Partner with the Account Executive on prospects
- Qualifying Leads:
- Engage with prospects to understand their needs pain points and buying processes.
- Evaluate prospects against the ideal customer profile (ICP) and qualify them as Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) for the Account Executives.
- Pipeline Management:
- Maintaindetailed and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities in our CRM system.
- Follow upwith prospects in a timely manner to nurture interest and schedule discovery calls or demos.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and share market feedback.
- Participate in regular meetings to discuss progress challenges and opportunities for improvement.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and market competition
- Performance Metrics:
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs including outreach volume number of qualified leads and meetings booked.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business Marketing Communications or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in outbound sales lead generation or business development (IAM and SaaS experience is a plus).
- Proven track record of success in a high-volume outbound sales environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify andengage decision-makers.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce HubSpot etc.) and outbound sales tools (e.g. Outreach Salesloft 6Sense).
- Self-motivated results-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced target-oriented environment.
