We are seeking an Audit and SOX Associate Manager with experience across Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and operational audits to join eBays Global Internal Audit team located in Bengaluru India. This position is hybrid requiring physical attendance at least three days each week.

In this role you will oversee the India-based Internal Audit team and directly support SOX and operational audit activities including test plan execution workpaper review and issue resolution. You will serve as the primary liaison between the India-based Internal Audit team and the U.S. Internal Audit team ensuring effective communication and alignment on deliverables.

This position reports to the Audit and SOX Manager and plays a key role in supporting audit execution and collaboration across our global Internal Audit organization.

The ideal candidate is a strong project manager and relationship builder who thrives in a global environment and is comfortable operating across multiple time zones.

What you will accomplish:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the U.S. and India audit teams ensuring clear communication timely issue resolution and alignment on audit objectives.

  • Lead manage and support the India-based team of auditors providing mentorship prioritization and quality oversight in accordance with Internal Audit and professional standards.

  • Review audit workpapers and testing results to ensure accuracy completeness and compliance with departmental and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor audit progress drive timely completion of deliverables and escalate risks or delays as appropriate.

  • Summarize audit results key issues and control observations for Internal Audit leadership and relevant collaborators in a clear and concise manner.

  • Partner with process owners and business collaborators to explain audit objectives results and the importance of maintaining a strong internal control environment.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Internal Audit processes methodologies and global collaboration practices.

  • Ensure GPTs are consistently utilized during the audit process and provide actionable feedback that helps refine and improve their efficiency.

  • Actively seek opportunities involving AI to improve workflow and audit quality.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • 6 years of audit experience performing SOX compliance or operational/IT audits with an emphasis on internal controls; Big 4 experience is strongly preferred and prior experience with US public companies and US GAAP accounting is required.

  • Experience with SOX compliance and knowledge of legal regulatory and industry requirements.

  • Demonstrated skill in managing worldwide audit tasks across different time zones to serve as the main contact for the Internal Audit team in India; Maintain some working hours that coincide with U.S. time zones.

  • Proven project and people management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Professional certification such as CPA CA CIA CISA or equivalent.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
