1. Product Development & Engineering

Lead end-to-end development of disc coupling products (concept design validation launch)

Design and optimize metallic disc couplings for torque transmission misalignment and high-speed applications
-
Perform engineering analysis (FEA fatigue stress thermal performance)
-
Ensure compliance with standards such as API AGMA ISO
-
2. Product Strategy & Roadmap
-
Define product roadmap based on market needs industry trends and customer feedback
-
Identify opportunities for new product lines or improvements in existing couplings
-
Conduct competitor benchmarking and cost-performance analysis
-
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Work closely with:
-
Manufacturing (DFM cost optimization)
-
Quality (testing validation failure analysis)
-
Sales & marketing (product positioning technical support)
-
Support customer applications and provide technical guidance
-
4. Testing & Validation
-
Oversee prototype development and lab/field testing
-
Validate performance under real-world operating conditions
-
Drive reliability and lifecycle testing (fatigue torsional vibration)
-
5. Supplier & Material Management
-
Select and qualify materials (stainless steel alloys composites)
-
Collaborate with suppliers for discs hubs fasteners
-
Ensure cost-effective sourcing without compromising performance
-
6. Documentation & Compliance
-
Maintain engineering drawings specifications and design standards
-
Ensure regulatory and safety compliance (API 610/671 etc.)
-
Support certification and audit processes
-
7. Lifecycle Management
-
Manage product lifecycle from launch to phase-out
-
Drive continuous improvement cost reduction and performance upgrades
-
Handle field issues root cause analysis and corrective actions
