Experienced Consultant Tax Financial Services

At EY you will have the chance to build a career as unique as you are. We are looking for an Experienced Consultant to join our Tax Financial Services (FS) team supporting some of the largest financial institutions operating in Portugal and across the EMEIA region.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic fastgrowing team where you will contribute to highimpact tax projects develop deep technical expertise and collaborate closely with leading professionals in banking insurance asset management and other financial sectors.

Your key responsibilities

As an Experienced Consultant within Tax Financial Services (FS) team you will:

• Support the delivery of tax advisory and compliance services for clients in the financial services industry including banks insurers investment funds and fintechs.
• Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns reporting obligations and tax documentation for financial institutions.
• Perform tax technical research and contribute to the analysis of complex tax matters including corporate income tax VAT withholding taxes transfer pricing and financial instruments taxation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary projects related to regulatory changes operational tax crossborder transactions and tax risk management.
• Contribute to client deliverables including memos reports presentations and impact assessments.
• Support senior team members in managing engagements coordinating fieldwork and communicating with clients.
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and highquality service delivery.
• Stay up to date on tax legislation regulatory developments and industry trends affecting the financial sector.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Degree in Law Economics Management Finance Accounting or a related field.
• 13 years of professional experience in Tax preferably with a focus on Financial Services (Banking Insurance Asset Management).
• Solid understanding of corporate income tax and/or indirect tax concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel PowerPoint Word).

Ideally Youll Also Have

• Experience in a big four environment or a financial institution.
• Exposure to international tax matters or crossborder projects.
