THE MANDATE:
You are the "Commercial Ambassador" for the brand. Your goal is to move beyond selling "page space" and instead sell integrated solutions. You will work with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) aftermarket brands and lifestyle advertisers to create 360-degree campaigns spanning the legendary print magazine the high-traffic website their massive YouTube channel and on-ground IPs like the Autocar Performance Show.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue Generation: Own and exceed sales targets by securing advertising commitments from automotive giants and luxury lifestyle brands.
Consultative Selling: Craft bespoke media plans that leverage Autocars unique assets: road tests "First Drive" features and industry-leading video content.
Agency & Client Management: Build and nurture "top-to-top" relationships with CMOs and media buying agencies (GroupM Dentsu etc.).
IP Monetization: Drive sponsorships for major properties like the Autocar Awards and specialized curated driving events.
Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of automotive trends (e.g. Green mobility Connected cars) to pitch relevant "Future of Mobility" content solutions.
Requirements
The Media Veteran: 510 years of experience in advertising sales preferably within a reputed media house or a niche lifestyle publication.
The Auto Enthusiast: While not mandatory a genuine interest in cars/bikes and an understanding of the Indian automotive landscape is a significant advantage.
Strategic Negotiator: Proven ability to handle complex long-term commercial contracts.
Persistence: A "Hunter" mindset with a track record of opening new accounts and expanding existing ones.
