Position Overview
The Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute medical neurological and telemetry needs. This role requires strong clinical judgment effective patient monitoring skills and the ability to manage varying acuity levels in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Staffing & Scheduling
Patient Ratio: 1:5 to 1:7 (MedSurg)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Local Candidates: Must reside outside a 75-mile radius
Experience Requirements
Minimum Experience: 1 year of MS/Tele or MedSurg experience
NY State RN License: Required and must be in hand (no exceptions)

Unit Overview
This role supports a combined Medical-Surgical and Telemetry unit with a focus on acute neurological and stroke patients as well as general medical populations. The unit follows an adjustable-acuity care delivery model emphasizing evidence-based practices across prevention acute intervention and recovery phases.
