Description
This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality anesthesia care in a collaborative environment.
As a Locum MD in Anesthesiology you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. You will work closely with surgeons nurses and other medical staff to deliver exceptional anesthesia services tailored to each patients needs. This role is vital in supporting our mission to provide comprehensive medical care while maintaining the highest standards of practice.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments to evaluate patient health
- Collaborate with surgical teams to develop anesthesia plans
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during and after anesthesia
- Manage post-anesthesia recovery and address any complications
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology practices and technologies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice anesthesiology in the state of Michigan
- Completion of residency in Anesthesiology
- Experience in administering anesthesia in various surgical settings
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Schedule: 8 or 10-hour shifts specific dates
Annual Volumes: 8800 inpatient cases 16.5k outpatient cases
All case types except for organ transplants and elective abortions
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
