Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to pediatric patients
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat a variety of pediatric conditions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on health and wellness
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions
- Stay updated on the latest pediatric practices and guidelines
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current medical license to practice in the state
- Experience in pediatrics or related field
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to children
- Flexible availability for contract assignments
Schedule: 24-hour shifts including 6-8 hours of onsite rounding
Coverage of Level II Nursery and ED
Patient Volume: 0-8 per day
Patient Population: Ages 0-21
Required Procedures: Arterial blood sampling biopsies bladder taps endotracheal intubations I&D of superficial abscesses simple laceration repairs lumbar punctures peripheral arterial punctures reduction of simple closed extremity fractures reduction of uncomplicated joint dislocations frenotomies/frenulectomies and vent management
Support Staff: Techs nurses OB/GYNs and dedicated OB OR and anesthesia staff
Must be board-certified
