Description
This contract position offers an on-site opportunity to provide exceptional anesthetic care in a fast-paced medical practice environment. As a Locum MD you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
In this role you will collaborate with a team of skilled healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality anesthesia services. Your expertise will be vital in assessing patient conditions determining appropriate anesthetic plans and monitoring patients throughout their surgical experiences.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and assessments of patients
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patient vital signs during procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Manage anesthesia-related complications and emergencies
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Provide post-anesthesia care and patient follow-up
- Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology practices and techniques
- Adhere to all safety and compliance protocols in the medical setting
Requirements
- MD degree with specialization in Anesthesiology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Texas
- Associate level experience in anesthesiology or related field
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of anesthesia protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Proficient in monitoring and managing patient responses to anesthesia
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 7a-3p
No call or weekends
Patient Census: 275 per month
Patient Population: Primarily adults some pediatric ENT
4 operating rooms
Cases: Ortho general podiatry endo optometry urology bariatric
No supervision required
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
