An opportunity exists for an experienced Plant Sales Representative to join a well-established OEM-aligned earthmoving equipment operation based in Durban (KwaZulu-Natal)
- This role is suited to a commercially driven sales professional with proven experience selling capital equipment into construction mining plant hire and infrastructure markets.
- The successful candidate will manage the full sales cycle and develop long-term client relationships within a performance-driven branch environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and grow new business within construction mining earthworks farming and plant hire sectors
- Manage the full sales lifecycle: prospecting site visits proposals negotiation and closing
- Build strong long-term relationships with contractors developers and owner-operators
- Understand client operational needs and recommend suitable equipment solutions
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines forecasts and CRM records
- Monitor market trends competitor activity and pricing dynamics
- Work closely with branch management service and parts teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Support demos handovers and aftersales engagement to secure repeat business
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Proven experience in earthmoving / plant / capital equipment technical sales
- Strong understanding of construction mining or plant hire environments
- Ability to manage long sales cycles and high-value equipment deals
- Strong negotiation communication and closing skills
- Results-driven disciplined and commercially focused
- Professional credible and confident engaging senior decision-makers
- Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel regionally
- Traceable & contactable references
- Local residency or relocation required
