Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Windshield Fitter to join our team in Windhoek. This role is critical in ensuring the safe secure and precise installation of windshields across a wide range of vehicles maintaining both structural integrity and aesthetic quality. The Automotive Windshield Fitter plays a key role in vehicle safety customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by delivering high-standard glass installation services. With a strong emphasis on precision adherence to safety protocols and exceptional customer interaction this position requires a hands-on professional who can work independently while maintaining compliance with industry standards and manufacturer specifications. The ideal candidate will bring practical expertise a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in every installation.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure cut and install windshields according to vehicle make model and manufacturer guidelines
- Perform thorough vehicle inspections before installation to assess frame condition and ensure proper fit
- Apply sealants and adhesives with precision to ensure a watertight secure and durable bond
- Remove and dispose of old windshields safely and in compliance with environmental regulations
- Conduct post-installation checks to verify proper alignment seal integrity and overall performance
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding installation timelines safety precautions and care instructions
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment in accordance with company and industry standards
- Troubleshoot fitment issues and recommend solutions when discrepancies arise
- Collaborate with service technicians and supervisors to ensure timely completion of jobs
Requirements
Requirements:
- 13 years of hands-on experience in automotive windshield installation or related field
- Strong practical skills in glass handling adhesive application and precision fitting
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive client interactions
- Good verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and customer engagement
- Familiarity with safety procedures PPE usage and handling of hazardous materials
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (if required for site visits or mobile service)
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment with occasional physical demands
Location: Windhoek Namibia
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time (as applicable)
Salary: $salaryrange per month (commensurate with experience)
