We are seeking a motivated confident and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and high-performing primary school in Epping starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys Upper Key Stage 2 and is passionate about delivering lessons that challenge pupils while supporting their academic social and emotional development.

As the Year 5 Teacher you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum preparing pupils for Year 6 and encouraging independence resilience and confidence. You will play a key role in creating a positive learning environment where pupils thrive and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 5 curriculum
Create a structured inclusive and engaging classroom environment
Monitor progress and use assessment data to inform planning and interventions
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL
Promote positive behaviour independence and a love of learning
Prepare pupils academically and emotionally for Year 6
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants colleagues and senior leaders
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to staff meetings CPD and whole-school initiatives
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2 ideally Year 5
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks
Be organised confident and proactive
Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be reflective adaptable and committed to professional development
Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
